Before you call (General Payphone Operations)

• You will need to locate a nearby payphone which can be found at payfonemap.com/find-a-phone.
• Before you insert money, be sure to check the phone for a dial tone.
• Check the price for calls (a small printed card in the payphone screen).

Placing a call

• Lift the handset and listen for a dial tone. You should hear an audible prompt in the handset, or displayed on the screen.

• Dial your desired number, and (exit code) (if required), as well as the (country code) (if required) + (number).
• On most payphones and public community phones, calls to emergency numbers are free.
